Montreux Jazz Festival 2007

In 2007 we were very privileged to be playing in the 41^st Montreux Jazz Festival. The year's concerts saw 250,000 visitors see a variety of shows over a period of 16 days.

The Festival played host to a variety of styles of music alongside some jazz legends. There were 7 different venues of world class music to visit and experience. Our own performance was part of the ‘Under the Sky Festival’.

The band was lucky enough to play two dates on the Parc Vernex stage.

Stockholm Jazz Festival 2006

In 2006 the SLJO made its first trip overseas, to the Stockholm Jazz Festival. It was a great success and huge fun, so we now try to make one overseas trip each year.

We went for three nights, playing three gigs in the early evening, so had plenty of time for sightseeing and late night jam sessions.

Band members could take one guest, and we had about ten non-players with us, who also very much enjoyed being part of the trip.
