Our Members

Some of our members are very experienced big band players and jazz soloists, but a large number of our players had not played this style of music before and some had not even performed in public.

It is a friendly atmosphere with many players in their 20s and 30s and several youngsters who are still at school, as well as some older players.

There is no obligation to solo, but opportunities are there if you wish and players are encouraged to develop their playing in a totally non-threatening ambiance.
