Riverfront Jazz Festival 2006

The autumn Riverfront Jazz Festival is one of the biggest jazz festivals in England. It embraces all styles of Jazz and every level of celebrity staged in the unique settings that historic Greenwich has to offer.

Established in 1985, Riverfront Jazz came of age last year and has become one of the most popular and enduring events in the Greenwich calendar.

SLJO's gig was in the beautiful courtyard of the Trinity Hospital Almshouses, beside the Thames path. It was a hot, sunny afternoon and both sitting and standing areas were packed!

Our stylish poster was designed by Alison Mure, an art & design student in our trumpet section.

Geraint Evans, a post-graduate photographer, took some stunning, original photographs (see below).

We plan to make a return visit to the Festival in September 2007.
