Flora London Marathon 2008

SLJO is back for another year to play for the runners of the Flora London Marathon on the Sunday 13th April 2008, so come and join us to cheer on the brave athletes!

The band will be playing from about 9.30am in our same spot by the roundabout next to the Rotherhithe tunnel and opposite the north side of Southwark Park.


Last year was a great success, in the blazing sunshine, with a big turnout from the band and plenty of spectators, and this year we'll be teaming up again with local charity, Time and Talents, to put on another good show.

We'll be based about 11 miles into the course and will be sending the runners on singing (if they have any breath left!) into the next 15 with all our favourite swing numbers.
